I was in a reading slump but now I am coming out of with so many things I want to read, not nearly enough time and a driving anxiety I will slump again. It is both joyous and unpleasant- a conundrum of conflicting feelings

I know these bumper stickers! I didn’t realize they did that. You used see them everywhere in CA.
I spent the colonizer holiday in the culturally appropriated (and wrong) WigWam motel on rte 66 which has a ton of these types of sites. I have a thing for American kitsch but also a lot of cognitive dissonance on that particular choice.

Gavin has actively vetoed bills that would have supported school libraries and librarians and the legislature won’t take up ideas that might address this like updating the standards for public school libraries (desperately needed IMO).
