This is correct. The assumption that trump would just back down in spite of the almost assured consequences is incorrect.

This won’t help. We need to recreate our form of government and constitution. The current system is broken and we need a new one.

I respectfully disagree. This administration proved that with an authoritarian leader willing to ignore laws, and who controls the Justice Department and military, they control everything and congress is now irrelevant.

What we’ve learned is that these proceedings are just theater with no substance. Congress doesn’t have any actual power. I don’t understand why the administration directors would even agree to be questioned. Who’s going to enforce contempt charges?
