The "shrug" emoji has the opposite problem. When I search for it I get either "girl shrug" or "boy shrug".

That's a good point! I was confused by why they hadn't timed its release to coincide with Halloween but this makes sense, there is a lot of (sometimes very literal) "me too" in this film.

There should be a way to mark this in #Letterboxd, that a star rating doesn't necessarily correlate to enjoyment.

Enjoyed #TheBride film over the weekend, empty cinemas for some reason.

It's definitely a flawed film (inconsistent tone, some cringingly on-the-nose moments) but I love the energy and performances. Jessie Buckley is so great.

tbh I'd rather watch ten flawed films like this than a single #Hamnet.

I'm watching "The Lobster" on Netflix. It has a slow, ambiguous ending. The credits start up. I prepare to sit with my thoughts for a while. This is part of the movie experience.
