happy out of touch thursday!
In a devastating blow to my ambitions as a rugged congressional candidate, my paternal grandfather was a family GP and my maternal grandfather was a property manager with a brief failed stint as a realtor. My dad was a house painter for like 20 years though, so maybe there's something salvageable
Practically speaking, you don't want to just sit in silence while the band is tuning between pieces, but really what that actually means is more bands need to adopt the Peter Gabriel Flash Fiction Interlude
the classic cartoon tape to speedrun pipeline. I reclaimed this from my parents' house when they sold it a few years back -- I haven't captured it but most likely it has a mix of mmx, pugsley, cv4 and maybe some other stuff I couldn't safely broadcast
finally somebody recognizes the true problem with society: people occasionally saying "daddy" during sex
All of this is basically taking a gap year before I fully commit to the 9 million grind in Rayforce, which I expect to take a very long time and tons of effort.
DOJ BL 1-ALL looking reasonably close. Best attempt so far died to basically the last bullet of the game before the 1-5 boss. I'm enjoying the game but don't think I'll take it any further than a survival clear for now; I've been loosely eyeing a pivot to finally looping Ketsui instead.
however I'm also a certified academy non-enjoyer so we can break bread there
I think all jk2 really needs is a few tweaks to the gun damage and to remove a couple of the slower levels and it can easily fight in jk1's weight class
I'm a certified Jedi Knight enjoyer but I don't think it's quite so clean-cut as a "better game". I really enjoyed the more elaborate swordplay of jk2 and the use of the reborn as sort of miniboss encounters, and it was my first experience of a casually believable(ish) 3d science fiction environment
looks exactly like I remember, but with less fog and mist
My international traveling days are mostly over for a host of reasons, but if you ever hear about me coming to do some event in person again, there are good odds that it's directly in sync with Peter Hammill's touring schedule. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Tjs...
I'm mad that it's so fuckin good
Generally not a fan of ELP but goddamn me to hell if I can ever turn away from listening to Tarkus again and again www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGGp...
That's not fair. That's not fair at all! It was the 90s, and there was time now!
we have to consider that maybe bobby gives off bad vibes
I'm waiting on switch primehack
RIP Legend. Hideki Sato Engineer behind several SEGA consoles including Saturn and Dreamcast passed away.
dodonpachi daiou-go to the polls
Suda51 I owe you an apology. I wasn't really familiar with your game
Oof. Unfollowing now. I only followed because he saved Sega's headquarters from a missile and outran a speed skater. I had no idea he beat up kids and young adults for being outside and threw a sumo wrestler off a cliff so hard the sumo wrestler exploded.
really happy to see this develop, and intensely glad I don't have a stake in actually doing it anymore
truly we live in the blessed timeline
I've been batting around ideas for this for like a year now, but I finally decided to gather a lot of my thoughts about arcade gaming and why it has such a tight grasp on me these days
happy thursday to ya
There are like a dozen separate axes on which launching a server farm to space is the single hardest or worst possible approach. Cost of deployment, cost of servicing, radiation shielding, power, cooling, latency, availability, reliability...
for what feels like the trillionth time: a skilled player could theoretically beat an arcade game on a single credit on their first attempt.
modern microtransaction-funded games are designed to keep the player hooked with deliberately impossible situations with victory just slightly out of reach
