The Maiden's Kiss scene with Loial, Bain, and Chiad is proof to me the show can channel Robert Jordan and still give us something new that is consistent with the world and characters. Other examples?

I think Shoreh is playing Elaida perfectly. She said in interview the main diff between the two characters is that Elaida believes the ends justify whatever means, while Chrisjen is apparently more principled and clings to her morality. I can't say because I haven't watched all of The Expanse.

Da'shain Aiel come from the Age of Legends and promises to carry the Chora Trees and Objects of the One Power and practice the Way of the Leaf. Jonai (old man in Rand's fourth vision) comes from their line. His party splits after the massacre and eventually leave their oath to transport the goods. They become the Tuatha'an. From Jonai's line comes Lewin (Vision 3) Lewin breaks his oath of non violence and his descendants became the Modern Day Aiel. Lewin's group who continues their mission eventually become the Jenn Aiel and succeed. They broke no oaths but eventually die out and become extinct.
