N made tomato soup and cheese herb flatbread things for dinner this evening. Delicious! He said he put 4 bulbs of garlic in. I told him he meant cloves - but apparently no, actually 4 bulbs… Think I may be sitting along at tomorrow’s staff breakfast…

Watching ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ one of the best Christmas films there is. Candles and a glass of wine. Thinking how lucky I am - going to spend Christmas with the people who matter most to me. Everything else can wait until 2026. Merry Christmas x

A couple of days off over half term, and was gifted the most lovely autumn sunshine today! Walk on the beach with the kids and pub lunch outside. Just the ticket.

Busy weekend but glad to spend some time in the garden this afternoon. Excited that the first crop of broccoli is ready to be harvested for dinner today, and the first lupin is out too! 😍
Beautiful walk along South West coast path today. Stopped at an arts and craft fair and bought a wicker trug, which is lovely! Man who made it overjoyed that someone would want it - but who wouldn’t..? Currently in use with jugs of flowers from the garden 🥳

Topsham in the sunshine - hard to beat. Bowling green marshes - spoonbills there but hiding their spoons.. Was told that a baby spoonbill is a teaspoon!! I do hope it’s true….
