Absolutely. But I’m always taken out a little bit when it’s not done well and I can tell the figures are just clipped in front of the background art because they’re floating and the style is different. It’s a bit color forms if you know what I mean.
Like Adachi in Cross Game is clearly using reference for architecture, but it all feels part of the same world
