Great story, fun gameplay, and fantastic music. The perfect indie storm. I've been looking forward to Saturated Dreamers for over a decade since. Just checked it on SteamDB and there was a branch update 30 minutes ago, so it's still coming along.

Oh heck yeah, all time classic. Great pick.
Last year I fell in love with Final Profit, a shop-management RPG. It plowed through any misgivings and became my game of the year. It's an extremely funny and smart capitalism satire with snappy satisfying controls, packed with rewarding secrets. An RPG Maker miracle. Bonus-bald lesbian elf heroine
some heart tissue has immune privilege, limiting our ability to clear infection from those areas. the perfect place for a virus to hide long term.
Being an indie developer you get to see some behind the scenes user behavior on community platforms. Such as how people will fairly often delete a post where they've asked for help or an explanation once their query has been answered.
We shouldn't feel embarrassed to ask questions.
Holy heck, that's huge! Congrats!
i love wormmon and this is incredible
hohoooohooooooo, speaking my language
screenshot of text from the main post image, originally reads "They could be ready for 2030, but the 0 in 2030 has been whited out and replaced with two dots as in a :, to transform 2030 into 2:30.
they could be ready by 2:30
Yessss, it all comes back to dismantling capitalism.
Thanks for all the hard work.
i felt the same, my particular gripe was that the travel points never took me close enough to where i wanted to go. it was almost pointless for them to be there.

Thanks to @endersindies.bsky.social for checking out Oil Town!
thank you! it's passed now, wasn't too bad.
a zoomed out and blurry screenshot showing the organisational layout of some game development documentation concerning the Just Shop Mode game mode in Final Profit: A Shop RPG. There are 3 major branching flowcharts, surrounded by floating text boxes in various colours.
Lately I've been working on new Just Shop Mode content, that involves building a cross-save talent tree to bring a meta progression element into the roguelike mode.
I've been trying a rougher documentation style as I go, a bit like a mind map. It's quick and gives a broad view, I like it.
ah, i see its an ocular migraine day. it's been a while. well, buckle up.

A screenshot from the Steam page for the PC indie game Final Profit: A Shop RPG. Text reads: Become a Lord of Business. FINAL PROFIT is a story driven management shop-sim RPG hybrid with depth and density that will take you to unexpected places as the story and gameplay progressively unfold and evolve. With over 30 original songs and 35+ hours of gameplay. But you'll need more than just money Seek out allies to help overcome the danger, traps, and colossal debt the Bureau has in store for you. Thereโs bound to be others who wish to change the status quo.
I flipped the presentation on the Steam page recently, putting the story section at the top instead of the gameplay features. Seems to have driven a boost in sales.
This goes against common advice I've seen, thought it was an interesting result.
oh wow, yeah look at their crazy price history. no idea what's up there.
there is a 30 day cooldown period after sales (excluding the winter, summer, fall, and spring sales).
certain games certainly seem to be able to get around it though (rdr2 is another). suss and unfair.
made from 98% ingredients
Exactly. The system incentivises bad behavior. Profit is inherently an unfair exchange, the attempt to extract more than what you put in.
Are you a dev making a "Fake OS", Interface based game a la Her Story, The Operator, Desktop Explorer... or Imprinted? : D
We are organizing a dedicated steam sale and would love to include your game as well!!

The Fun, The Dark, and The Cozy is a Steam fest that begins today! ๐ฎโ๐ฅ
Final Profit is taking part and is on sale for the duration.
Most Steam fests are independently organised, I have no gripes with those behind this one. They seem lovely.
The type of organiser that does get on my nerves are the ones who invite you to apply, deny the application, the brag about how many submissions they had this year lol.
The Fun, The Dark, and The Cozy fest page.

true, but i think they do have psychological effect on individuals viewing the page.
but also yes, buying the game is the best thing to do of course. gifting as well.
So sorry to hear! Best of luck to you and everyone else involved.
Hey yall. As you've seen here - unfortunately a large portion of the ivy road team was laid off today, myself included. We're all looking for work! Gonna do a quick thread about those who were laid off today and why you should hire them:
