I think there's genuinely a degree to which the Siege-onward era of collector product/marketing (which began very soon after IDW1 ended!) has wound up turning a new generation of TF fans into G1 traditionalists who rankle at the kind of remixing/reinterpretation that was very routine in IDW books.

I did this for the first time too last year, and it was insanely funny to discover that Alien vs. Predator 1 was in fact Anderson making the exact same film as Resident Evil 1 again, up to and including rehiring Colin Salmon to play basically an identical character to his Resident Evil one.

I think from some of the leaked listings we've seen, she might've originally been designed for the Energon Surge refresh with clear armour and weapons instead, but then got reworked as stopgap vanilla release and given a redeco of Chop Shop's weapon.

(Or at least, Wikipedia spells all their titles with "Four", and I trust that Wikipedia has some extremely pedantic standard for deciding what a film's title "actually" is.)
Yeah, I bet for a film it's good for international marketing, since the 4 numeral is then a bit of key iconography that you can keep consistent across a bunch of languages worldwide.
Interestingly though, despite the logos it seems all the films are still *technically* titled as "Fantastic Four".
