Victoria Embankment this morning. Why should hard working cyclists taxes go on these wide car lanes when motorists don't bother using them?

Will the redevelopment of spots like these arches deepen gentrification in east London? Or can it be done in a way that fosters genuine community?

The area around the gardens, especially Three Colts Lane, has been redeveloped in recent years with a pub, three galleries and a sauna, which is in contrast to the Globe Town estate on the other side of the arches.

London railway arches are changing.
Many of the once dilapidated arches in London have been turned into shops, cafes and bars, often near glitzy new developments.

Works have now started on 10 arches along Bethnal Green Gardens on Malcolm Place in east London where the Luigi Mangione mural is.
