자주색 바탕에 서 있는 귀부인. 쪽진머리 위에 쓰개치마를 덮고, 자주색 삼회장을 덧댄 흰저고리를 입고, 치마 위에 풍성한 말군을 덧입은 모습이다.

신윤복의 『혜원풍속도첩』 중 「문종심사」에 등장하는 귀부인입니다. 말을 탈 때 치마 위에 덧입는 일종의 치마바지인 말군은 본래 양반만 착용할 수 있었지만, 시대가 흐르면서 조선 후기에는 신분에 상관없이 두루 입게 된 것으로 보입니다.
