@thehugoawards.bsky.social is the account, but again, we won’t be able to do anything until I get home.

Seattle didn’t send us the details and I’m now in transit to home, so I can’t do anything until I get home.

Six hours later and I am less likely to drive off the road on my way home.

Bag reclaimed. Time to get the van out of the parking lot and get to the hotel. I’d go straight to the hotel, but it would cost me an extra day of parking.

Landed at Reno. Being awake for 24 subjective hours not much fun. Glad I booked that room at the SureStay Best Western across the street from the airport for tonight.

Boarded. Next stop Reno.

The Terminal A club closes at 8:30 pm, so I just went to the gate. As I sat down, the inbound equipment arrived.

I have no complaints. They even have an”everything” Coca-Cola dispenser.

Terminal A United Club is a bit small by comparison to others, but hey, it’s included in the fare so why not use it? Two hours here before my flight to Reno boards.

Train to Terminal A. Next is to find the United Club.

Re-Terrorization complete. A lot less waiting in the first class queue.

Collected bag and exited Customs. Rechecked bag. Now to be re-Terrorized for the flight to RNO.

Through Immigration. Waiting for luggage. No rush. I have three hours until my flight to Reno.

On the ground at DEN. No sleep due to the WSFS meeting, but feeling okay even though it is just after midnight where I started today.

Boarding!

At the gate. Boarding in about ten minutes.

Also, because it's at B1, that puts it about halfway from Terrorization to my departure gate farther down the B concourse. About one hour until my flight starts boarding for a scheduled 14:50 departure to Denver.

I'd say the Saga Lounge in Keflavik Airport (IcelandAir) is nicer, but here are certainly worse places to wait for a flight than the United Club lounge here at Heathrow. Moreover, the air seems better there than it's been the past couple of days and my cough is fading.

Made it to the United Club lounge just it time for #SecondBreakfast before they switched over to lunch.

Cleared Terrorization. 2.5 hours until boarding. Thank you @cherylmorgan.bsky.social for taking care of me. See you in October!

Heathrow Airport. This is the Polaris Business queue. The others are worse. Good thing I’ve got lots of time until my flight.

In the hotel. One-class room upgrade. Slight misadventure where I seem to have dropped one of the key cards on the way to the room, but it’s sorted now. Air conditioning starting to work.

Deeply unimpressed with Heathrow Express. Apparently if a ticket machine doesn't print your ticket that's your problem, you just have to buy another one. Even if a member of their staff saw it happen.

On the Heathrow Express. Cheryl and I both had negative experiences, with hers worse than mine.
