What to do, what to do
What to do, what to do
Namedropper.
Also, when did boots on the ground become the test? Did Japan put boots on the ground in Pearl Harbor?
Can we just nominate the person running Gavin Newsom's social media and not him? They seem pretty great.
Tehran
My pitch for a slight revision:
Interesting how "peed in front of everyone" turned into "peed on him" in his mind...
Agree! Hopefully itβs coming.
I mean, Epstein didnβt exactly get away with itβ¦
lol why you posting here, bro?
The problem with trolls, and I have engaged in that behavior (even though I thought righteously), is that moderators wonβt stop them. A great troll is an expert at adapting to the letter of the law.
I say this with all respect. How is your strategy working out?
Good article, but I'm saying responding feeds it. I believe in the central argument of what you posted: "Preventing abuse online requires the people running a site or an app to invest time, effort and attention into protecting their community." Reporting privately isn't responding to the person.
Your replies here about the harassment on Twitter feed it there. Any acknowledgment anywhere feeds it. If it's a policy problem and individual action is fruitless, then you already understand that posts like this are only harming you.
What's the opposite of lowering flags to half-mast? Raising them to double mast? That's what I'll be doing.
As a guy who spent years trolling people and also was the villain of the day on Twitter once or twice, there is only one way to deal with this. Block and ignore. Any response, ANY response, is oxygen. If they don't know if you've read it, if they didn't get your attention, it ends eventually.
I hope youβre right!
Trump is going to pardon everyone, including himself, on the way out of the door. Accountability is a pipe dream.
Much bigger fan of the Dead Kennedys stance/courage, who just sang "Nazi Punks Fuck Off" and then went in tiny clubs and risked getting stomped.
Oops, just trying to justify my own listening habits. Sorry!
Siouxsie Sioux, David Bowie, lots of people flirted with Nazi iconography/propaganda back then... charitably, I'd like to think that the older generation hated Nazis, so it was shocking and rebellious, and they didn't think beyond that.
This didn't age well.
Or he thought the Supreme Court would back him up even though it was unconstitutional? There is some precedentβ¦
In the old days, newsstands would have magazines and articles and you might see an article tease on the cover and you'd buy that magazine for $4 and take it with you. You didn't have to buy a subscription or give your name and number to the publisher.
Make paying to read one article easy again!
Agree. Let them scream into the void
Low turnout can be an opportunity!
Now we have grief police. God help us.
Fuck whoever said that. Iβve had crippling grief from the deaths of musicians I never met, how can someone judge you for grief over a musician you knew?
lol then you are always shameless, because you never stop working. Good to see you, Jon! Hope all's well!
Not as awkward as searching "Pretty In Pink" on bluesky on a Friday afternoon to see if someone is talking about a movie you starred in 40 years ago!
