Remember: the publication of a white paper does not change existing SEND law. Your child’s legal rights to support remain in place. Importantly, the government has said that no child will lose effective support already in place:
All schools will have to create an Individual Support Plan for every child with SEND that clearly set out the help a child will receive, the government has announced today. The support will follow a national framework and be tailored by teachers and specialists.
