I have been both surprised and not surprised by how evil Trump is, and I've just now figured out why. I have seen such evil plenty of times in movies, in fiction, but never before in real life, in my lifetime.

What would ending capitalism mean? I think it would mean sharing, but that word is even more taboo than "communism." "Communism" seems slightly more familiar, because so many people assume it is authoritarian. I've started saying "sharing" more often. But maybe I should simply promote UBI ?

One argument that made a little sense was that people should only compete against their own "type." But really all people are different types, and no one should have to compete against Michael Phelps. Solution: No one should compete at all; instead we should all cooperate and collaborate.

No, I could not. That's a reflection of my own failing, not Sanders'. And the biggest things that come to my mind are not bills that have passed: Sanders reduced the stigma attached to the word "socialism," and Sanders increased the public support for universal healthcare.

Sanders is far from perfect, but he seems to me much better than most members of congress. I am not as familiar with Mills (and that is my fault).
