Bit sad if that view has gone. The last time I walked round there I came across the estate and past the hall so didn't quite get to where your pic was taken and I don't recall if the houses were there yet... but then houses seem to be shooting up everywhere almost overnight at the moment
Yes for both (also very inexpertly carrying jacket and jumper as it turned out gorgeously sunny and warm but it was much too far to go back to the car by then)

I understood the ruins are on private/farm land and have never tried sneaking into them but, yes, must be fabulous with low sun
Have you been to Ringstead Downs? Its not only worth a visit, it's a stunning... The picture is of Lovers-lane, this leads to the track, that leads to Downs Farm - then to the gateway to the downs. The cattle are currently grazing, see vids from Thursday.

Oh yes, thank you... a strange and special place even for Norfolk and a long-time favourite walk though I usually park in the little space at the opposite end of the downs... and I always want to go look at the ruined church and never dare
