I've definitely seen a decline locally. 2nd was pretty big here, but over the last few months I've seen a few events cancelled due to low player counts.

I've moved onto other games entirely.

Got some transfers on and started on the basing. Still got some work to do.

a photograph of an unpainted tabletop miniature from warhammer forty-thousand. the miniature is a space marine model made from the Horus Heresy Tactical and Assault Squad kits of the mark six variant. the model's helmet is from the Firstborn Devastator Squad kit that has extra targetting lenses and an antenna. sculpting epoxy has been used to add the conical beak shape to the snout of the helmet. the helmet's eye lens has been carved out to convert it into a large mono-lens visor. the model holds a comically large yet still rather very small wrench taken from a tool-themed scrapbooking kit on aliexpress in one hand and a phobos-pattern bolt pistol is held in the other. a phobos-pattern bolter is slung over the shoulder with a sling made of paperclip wire.

A little change of pace

Still at least a week's worth of work left to do on it, but seeing it all in one piece is really doing it for me.

A painted model of a short, stocky mech with a beetle-like carapace on top and a head protruding from the chest. It has a great round shield with a black eagle, and a large knightly lance. Its surfaces are covered in black silhouette paintings on backgrounds ranging from light yellow to darker red, resembling those on Ancient Greek pottery. The metal edges are covered in patina.

View from the back. There is a bright red glowing dot on its back.

View from the right. The lance is about as long as the mech is tall, or even longer.

Size comparison with a Gundam-size model. The Knight reaches its chest, at about 12m against almost 18m.

A completely different kind of 6mm mech.
An Imperial Knight. On a Battletech hex. With a shield from Gundam.
