Could no one gift him a golden foot measurement device? Also who is actually ordering these shoes? Is it Trump himself or someone else who could be secretly confirming shoe sizes? Mainly though why is this doddering, abusive grandpa still President. So many questions.

I get almost as many comments about how ugly or fat I am on my workout posts as I did on my posts before I started lifting. I’m not asking for sympathy. I just want to remind Black women that the point isn’t if we are pretty or skinny or not. The point is they want us to not exist.πŸ™„

Also, you reacting defensively is still making it about you and not the other person's fault.

Food for thought: when you feel someone is making something "all about race" consider that it may have already been all about race the whole time--YOUR race. It is natural to get defensive. After all, our brains center us. But defensiveness will not help you grow and teach your brain to expand.

I haven't been reading nearly enough picture books! I need to get back to that. I finished my writing goal for the week, maybe I should find time to just sit at the library and read πŸ“šπŸ“š

Toronto’s snow mountains: towering peaks that refuse to melt and leave a toxic trail Reaching up to 100ft, these massive piles contain tonnes of salt that keep roads clear but pose environmental and health risks

Interesting piece on the mountains of snow, salt and other assorted awful piling up in Toronto, since the storm. And the environmental risks of the mountains.

WIFE: You're very quiet. What are you thinking?

ME: If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, then the opposite of a hospital is an orchard.

HER: Sometimes it's ok to say 'nothing'

Their relatives and/or spouses could also tell them to do this so it's not just them... Maybe they're all like "they deserve to be uncomfortable all day so I will not help them"

I wrote a mystery where the kids had to figure out a murder before it happened and they make a kind of logic grid to work it out. It was really fun to make and kind of scary to query with πŸ˜† sadly that ms didn't find a publishing home (and yes this was before the Murdle craze!) #kidlitchat

Fresh from my garden, a tulip I planted in the fall. I am sure you would agree that it lives up to its name,
"Grand Perfection!"

Nobody Dies in the Spring

Nobody dies in the spring on the Upper West Side: nobody dies.
On the Upper West Side
we're holding hands with strangers on the Number 5 bus, and we're singing the sweet graffiti on the subway,
and kids are skipping patterns through the bright haze of incinerators,
and beagles and poodles are making a happy ruin of the sidewalks, and hot-dog men are racing their pushcarts down Riverside Drive, and Con Ed is tearing up Broadway from Times Square to the Bronx, and the world is a morning miracle of sirens and horns and jackhammers and Baskin-
Robbins' 31 kinds of litter and sausages at Zabar's floating overhead like blimps--oh, it is no place for dying, not on the Upper West Side, in springtime.

There will be a time
for the smell of burning leaves at Barnard, for milkweed winging silky over Grant's Tomb, for apples falling to grass in Needle Park; but not in all this fresh new golden smog: now there is something breaking loose in people's chests,
something that makes butchers and bus boys and our neighborhood nares and muggers go whistling in the streets--now
there is something with goat feet out there, not waiting for the WALK light, piping life into West End window-boxes, pollinating weeds around condemned residential hotels, and prancing along at the head
of every elbowing crowd on the West Side, singing:
Follow me-- it's spring--and nobody dies.

Days like today in NYC always make me think of this glorious poem, β€œNobody Dies in the Spring” by Philip Appleman:

On the Upper West Side /
we're holding hands with strangers / on the Number 5 bus, / and we're singing the sweet / graffiti on the subway, …

This, from CNN.com, is very good. Every news organization should be asking and answering that question. And then they should ask the next question: Shouldn’t that disqualify him from being commander-in-chief? www.cnn.com/2026/03/10/p...
