This never ending heat wave & my mother being in hospital has totally destroyed the crafting possibilities this summer and it’s driving me bonkers because the ideas keep coming but can’t do shit about it.. but I did manage to finish up a set of Olive Wood boards before things went to hell

Managed to snap some images of the new butcher’s block. Handcrafted from reclaimed Purple Heart, Ontario Black Walnut, Maple & Cherry.

Gorgeous day out so got covered in sweat & sawdust while playing with my wood for the first time in ‘25.

May turn this olivewood “bonecutter” into a beer paddle or leave it as a serving board but undecided

also started sanding the purpleheart & maple chopping block in the bg.

A couple of in progress purple heart & cherry butcher blocks that need to be trimmed & add juice grooves today along with the Acacia Millennium Falcon board made for my son’s teacher & paddle board for a neighbour.

Only managed about an hour outside yesterday with the horrible AQ index but crafted up this beauty. Tried a new handle style and really like how it turned out.

Second time in as many months that I got someone elses lumber order instead of mine and from two different companies!!!
Bah!! Now waiting to hear back on how quick this can be resolved
