Five Leagues from the Borderlands 3rd Edition - arrived yesterday, but I've been playing all weekend using the PDF.
I've entered my deepest rabbit hole of miniature wargaming with this game that scratches all my itches and has returned to me the feeling of discovery/exploration I enjoyed when I played Skyrim/[insert aimless wandering game here] for the first time.
I sacrificed my sleep schedule for AoS and got orientalism instead. 💀

I always love seeing Saul's terrain out, so always an instant reshare. @tectonic-dan.bsky.social asked me about terrain bases the other night, but the tetris boxes I transport my terrain in just don't allow for it; I love the effect though: I have two in my display case since they can't travel.

After wreaking havoc in the back lines, the Captain stands in the wrong spot and gets horse boot in snail face.
To nobody’s surprise, the most abusive force in the race to the treasure ship is the insurance company. However, for the first time, the Captain is taken down! Ignobly too, as a horse tramples on him during the Angankorian Expedition’s retreat. That’s going to leave a mark.
Despite my making 8 clusters for today, they roll the minimum 2 clusters and no twists, making this a truly unprofitable field and arousing my Skaven schadenfreude at these two CoS forces.

I also last minute remembered to make some Warcrow preorders here, as Office is one of two or three stores locally that bring in Corvus Belli.
I say 4th week, but last week and this week are looking to be lean - but momentum is momentum! One game happened last week, one new player joining today, probably 1-2 games today depending on time. I owe an update on the large 2nd week games, and look forward to hanging out today talking stories.
No longer outside in the wilds, we now are nestled in the quiet interior.
