Roger Tofte spent seven years building the woodsy wonderland β and another 50 watching crowds flood in.

Good looking out, Autocorrect π
You mean that weird step that legt him hobbling after high-fiving fans at the end of the game was season-ending? ππ
Is this real life? π€¦
The image is an X post by @RealJakeBroe from 7 hours ago, featuring a two-panel comic. The top panel shows a scientist pointing to a chart with a general trend and an outlier, illustrating a rational argument. The bottom panel depicts a person labeled "ANTI VAX" pointing to a similar chart, labeling it "CONSPIRACY THEORY" with "Lies" and an outlier called "IRREFUTABLE PROOF!!!", satirizing irrational arguments. The caption reads, "It is difficult to win an argument with a smart person. It is impossible to win an argument with an idiot."
This captures much of the frustration of today.
This is MUCH better than a map of electoral districts for the US Congress. Thank you.
There are so many layers of bad faith nonsense to this whole strand of argument that it would take a several-dozen-page peer reviewed academic article to fully unpack.
If you think people on the right are dumb pieces of shit, you think too highly of them. This is not the benign stupidity of a slightly substandard person. This is the bad faith malevolence of an agenda to exterminate political opposition. Civilization cannot function with these people.
Who doesnβt love a taking a break out of their day to see a nice ad hominem, whataboutism, false equivalence strawman?
When you try to refute someone but end up proving his point.
Can someone please explain to me how ON EARTH itβs possible for someone this stupid to have 259k followers?
Guy has never heard of days off, protesting at different times, sacrificing for something important, the school year ending, or retirement, but has anything to offer? The logic doesnβt track.
Iβm sorry, the FBI and Trump administration are suddenly AGAINST attempts at intimidation?
βRules for thee but not for meβ eh?
This comment is reductive in its analysis, and offers an observation that is only half correct, in service of being unhelpful about real progress⦠which is likely the intent.
The moral difference between the left and the right:
The FSU shooter was MAGA, but you will not find any liberal who would deny this defendant due process.
But you also wonβt find any MAGA who feel that way. βThe victims didnβt get due process π₯΄β was only for their immigrant political scapegoats.
Iβm sorry, this take is so dumb it belongs on Twitter. Last nightβs show was far from my favorite episode, but it is further away than that from deserving a βwe need to move on from Jon Stewartβ critique.
His podcast is great. Understands the issues. Intellectually curious. A great voice to have.
How warped does your entire worldview have to be to say liberals βdonβt understand economicsβ if single-payer healthcare causes the Dow to drop a few points as industries adjust, but cheer on a market crash while the president institutes a regressive tax on everything you buy?
Like, youβre done. You donβt get to use this against the left ever again.
To all the right wingers who suddenly donβt care that the stock market is crashing: do you realize that you are forever surrendering the argument that things like universal healthcare are bad for this country because the Dow takes a downturn when you hurt the companies profiting from our problems?
OK, but in all fairness, this was a lie back then too. Yes, our GDP per capita numbers looked like they were leaving Europe behind for some reason. But since no human on earth, given an informed choice, would rather live in Mississippi than France, the numbers didnβt exactly add up. π€·
You should. Itβs a perfectly fine movie. Fun watch and not too long.
Of course the largest tax hike in US history is among the most regressive taxes imaginable.
Small amendment: if you can afford to blow $250 million on a losing campaign in Wisconsin, you NEED to pay a 90% top tax margin.
Iβm sick of plutocrats stacking generational wealth year-after-year and then deploying that money AGAINST the society that supports them. Itβs pathetically parasitic.

P.S. I asked if there was a GOOD reason. Thank you for confirming you did not have one.
Muting you now. Have a nice life being that miserable asshole I identified a couple of replies ago. π
Except I wasnβt. I love Maura. As I said, I was being playful. I even included the appropriate softening emoji and explained myself after your first asshole reply.
You can go ahead and stop making autistic people look bad nowβ¦ and Iβm not saying youβre autistic.
See: my other reply.
You can stop being an asshole now π
Beyond that, since WHEN was βbeing helpfulβ a precondition for anyone to get something off of his or her chest in a cathartic way?
Am I not allowed to leave a reply and move on with my day?
Did someone task you with policing that?
Or are you just being an asshole for really no good reason?
It could be, a reminder that something could have been done sooner can be an applicable lesson from the futureβ¦ especially in issues that need to be defended from a βforward positionβ before the right has taken too much ground.
platforms at our backβinstead of apologizing for us like we were untouchables stepping out of lineβthis whole time. To say it as a joke NOW feels a little lacking.
