There are so many layers of bad faith nonsense to this whole strand of argument that it would take a several-dozen-page peer reviewed academic article to fully unpack.

It could be, a reminder that something could have been done sooner can be an applicable lesson from the future… especially in issues that need to be defended from a “forward position” before the right has taken too much ground.
