Especially if the neighbors tend to feed them. (My husband. My husband is the neighbors.)
Nah, some of them (maybe even lots of them?) are looking for wives. Iβve known women who found out from a 3rd party about their boyfriendβs politics, and one who is now actually married, he lied for 3 whole years, and sheβs trying to figure out what to do.
Side Quested Book1 in my hand. It's mostly a blue cover with Charlie on it.
A side view of the book. It has 304 pages, it's quite the chonky book!
A tiny crop of the "book exclusive" chapter! No spoilers revealed, tho.
Detail of the cover with some light reflecting on the gloss spit in the cover. It's all over Charlie!
Ok, everyone, this is the LAST WEEKEND you can preorder SideQuested Book1!
All preorders help us convince our Publisher that we should publish the WHOLE series, not just the two first books!
Plus, the book is BEAUTIFUL, has spot gloss, an exclusive chapter, and it's CHONKY!π±

Wow! I love it
Okay, this just moved them up in priority! Tights that can survive cat claws sound like a dream!
Excellent! I need to start keeping a shopping list somewhere, so I remember these things once our budget loosens up a bit.
Oohβwhere do you get your wool tights?

Our volunteer collective of whistle printers is up past 1.2 million whistles shipped. It's happening very quietly, because we've basically settled into a groove, but we are still here for all your whistle needs.

Mischievously hidden?
Itβs gorgeous!
And Mira Grantβs Newsflesh series. The zombie post-apocalypse from a different point of view: twenty years later, when everyone is just used to living in a zombie-overrun world.
Also, if Iβm reccing post-apocalyptic series, I have to rec Kit Rochaβs Merceny Librarians. Former super-soldiers trying to save their community by running a library with extra community support features up against the corporation that develops and exploits super-science for profit.
Jim C Hinesβ Janitors of the Post-Apocalypse series is great! Thereβs weird and wacky aliens, political intrigue, people trying their best in bad situations and thinking way outside the box.
Ooh! Good to know! I had given up on handling any of my childhood books to my son after multiple disappointments (he went to Laura Ingalls Wilder elementary school! Where they named the hallways after her books! With cute murals! It would have been great if the books werenβt such horrorshows!)
They spent your tax money on killing children. I think it's worth us spending our tax money prosecuting and punishing them all. No one will argue against it. It is a popular stance. Don't be a pussy. Stand up for those girls who were killed in our name.
If the Dems who win in the 2026 midterms get squeamish about prosecuting this administration, we'll need to elect a bunch of new people running on Nuremberg shit for 2028. This isn't a joke. It's the law. It's justice. Biden let Trump back in the WH and this happened because Joe didn't do his job
A billion dollars is the socio-economic equivalent of a loose nuke, and we should work to prevent the acquisition of the former with the same urgency and ruthlessness we use to prevent the acquisition of the latter.
So gorgeous!
wine moms are our strongest soldiers and also the engine of American consumption and you alienate them from your stores at your peril
they really might have ridden the anti-woke train all the way to bankruptcy court, an all time brand fuckup that should be taught as a cautionary tale in business school for decades
Honestly I gotta hand it to Trump. If someone had told me they had a plan to get 23% of the GOP to support abolishing ICE I would have called them a liar.
Any democrat who isn't all in on this is either deeply committed to cruelty or has the political instincts of a half-baked potato.
In Primary time (what weβre in) it is not only fine, it is good to argue amongst ourselves & do our damnedest to get the best candidate, not some jackass with name recognition.
AFTER the primary when we have winnowed our field to a candidate per race is when we come together & slam the opposition.
Privatization yet again proves its foundational principle β adding a profit motive cannot provide better service for less money because the profit will eat up more than any potential efficiencies. Privatization ALWAYS results in less & worse service for massively higher costs.
So.
You want to convince your city, town, and county to proactively REJECT working with ICE/CBP?
Send them this link about the staggering financial cost to the Twin Cities.
Make your conservative mayor start to sweat about her budget.

this is the part that reminds me that many people are good, but rich people almost universally are not.
so many of us have come together to help when the cost of doing so means deprivation in our own lives, so that people who will never know deprivation can make fake numbers go up even higher.
Happy Saturday.
I have said it before & I will say it again: sometimes nothing sells a book like a 1 star review.
I am certain this 1 star review will sell this book to at least one of you.
I keep thinking about the people for whom $400K is a small number and how they are the reason people for whom it is a very big number have to hustle like this
Please keep circulating this so that people who have $500 to spare see it
