A writing hack:
I find it hard to delete a chunk of writing. My solution has been to copy it into a file named “Deleted Scenes.” It’s not just gone, it’s just a scene that wasn’t right for the final cut. It doesn’t matter that it won’t see the light of day, it just feels less permanent.
