Rare picture of me, off looking for the monster of Loch Morar.

Reupping this for reasons
Got wasted on election night, decided to keep it going the next day, drunkenly walked in to the local conservative club to yell "hah you fucking losers" only to find, to my horror it had been hired out for a wake that afternoon
Really looking forward to chatting spooks and spectres with @paranormalmonkey.bsky.social tomorrow
Visited the Museum Of Witchcraft And Fortune-telling in Edinburgh, lots of interesting stuff, including a lot of folk magic artifacts, plus got to meet this auld gent. Well worth a visit.
For me, it was seeing photos from the Enfield poltergeist house. Up until then, ghosts were at a safe distance in castles, churches etc. Seeing one that haunted a council house like the one I lived in was terrifying!
Just a reminder this is tomorrow, and another reminder of the new venue.
Don't know if this is actually true but I love the story about him refusing to play Glasgow for several years because he got his nose stolen there.
An interesting piece of folk culture, who could have foreseen how the word would change meaning in 50 years?

Listen to my friend talk about the history of dissection!
Weird thing is the rips are really regular, they don't look like they're the product of falling into a barbed wire fence or wear & tear.
I've handled these trousers, they're basically the ufological shroud of Turin! Someone should offer them a home.
Ps fuck The Sun.
The wee estate we stay is quite sheltered so it wasn't too bad, but there was a fair bit of damage across Edinburgh as a whole. How was it up by you?
Have read Graeme's new book, it's full of fascinating accounts of weird experiences. This should be a good night. (Note new venue).
This episode of the Cryptonaut podcast was dedicated to catpeople. If I remember correctly, they usually give the source of the stories they cover.

The government is missing a trick to induce absolute panic in the over 40s by not having this as the alert tone on their emergency warnings.

While having emergency notifications on your phone is probably a good thing, I could have done without being woken at 3am by my phone making an apocalyptic screeching, followed by a stern voice telling me to prepare for 100mph winds. Cheers Scottish government.
I'm so used to the right to roam in Scotland that the first time we encountered a pissy landowner when looking for a stone in England, it was a real shock.
photo of a bodysuit filled with garbage and a taped portrait of Elon Musk hangs upside down on the gate near piazzale Loreto in Milan, Italy. Photo from Ansa Italia 2025
Today in Milan, a student activist group hung a trash-filled effigy of Musk upside down on a gate outside of piazzale Loreto, where Mussolini's body was displayed in 1945.
They left the message: "C'รจ sempre posto a piazzale Loreto, Elon" (There's always room in piazzale Loreto, Elon)
I really like it, but also enjoy the taste of antiseptic.

I strongly suspect Kellas cats have spread from the NE of Scotland. There's a video of what looks like one that had been killed on the A9 between Perth and Stirling a couple of years ago. If they're on the fringes of the central belt, could be anywhere!
He wanted to know if gigs were 'mental', had to explain they were, but in the sense of there being 10 people there and one's trying to sell a shotgun to the other 9.
Just been to a hardcore gig where me and my friends were about twice the age of everyone else. Had a guy asking what gigs were like in the 90s. Now feel ancient.
Just gave it a listen, not what I expected at all based on what I'd heard before. Really good!
Has anyone used the phrase Cock Ness Monster in conjunction with this hypothesis?
This was a favourite of mine as a kid. Probably consigned to a charity shop by my mum at some point in the 90s.
I wish I still had this, the art was incredible. The picture of the poacher being frightened by a ghost still lives in my head, 40+ years later.
One of our cats shouts at us if we stay up too late. She really doesn't like it.
I used to have that pinned to my wall when I was a kid!
