More than 300 big agriculture lobbyists took part in Cop30, investigation finds Lobbyists representing industry responsible for a quarter to a third of global emissions participated in key talks at the UN climate summit

Do you trust corporations like Nestlé, Pepsico, and Danone to write climate policy? Neither do we. And neither should the delegates at #COP30.

But latest @desmog.com analysis reveals 300+ #BigAg lobbyists at the U.N. climate talks — a 14% increase from last year. #KickOutTheSuits

New blog post (never a paywall): "The Default Body: AI, biased health data, and the illusion of objectivity." Medicine's idea of a “universal body” was never universal. It was male, and now AI is learning from that legacy. Bias doesn’t disappear in data; it scales. jgcarpenter.com/blog.html?bl...

If you wouldn't accept "we are at risk of becoming an island of strangers" from Kemi Badenoch or Nigel Farage you probably shouldn't accept it from Keir Starmer. Don't pretzel yourself trying to explain why it's ok from the guy in the red tie.

"I have never seen anything like this in nearly 40 years of doing science," says Paul Bierman, a geomorphologist at the University of Vermont. "I think it's an unmitigated disaster."
