Bah, western animation can count as anime for the sake of this question! Although Scar is my favourite character, I think the most interesting cosplay for me to wear would be a Sarabi-gijinka?

Not familiar enough with it, sorry. :<
Toboe! Although human-disguised Blue's outfit is pretty cool as well...
Give me a name of a video or an anime, and I'll tell you who I would cosplay from it
I mean, if it's a work that I'm unfamiliar with, then I can't really answer it I guess? But still, let's go!
Speaking of films I watched when I was actually too young: I really liked All That Jazz (1979) despite the subject matter being quite dark. How old was I when I first watched it? Must have been younger than 10, anyway. I think it actually had a positive influence on me?
There are some movies that I saw bits and pieces of, or watched and was too young to understand, but nonetheless have stuck into my mind. I had to google one of them: "film about two schizophrenics 90s".
Apparently it was Angel Baby (1995). Can't remember much of it, but it scared me as kid.
That's just how she is. What about you?
"I think I'm coming down with a cold"
"I feel so tired"
...
And it's all because of pollen, of course. I hate the way my body reacts to spring.
Once enough time has passed, the formerly disliked immigrants are now lifted up as "the good ones", compared to the new group. Every time the same story. "Their kids cause trouble in school", "they won't learn the language"... 30 years later, they're called "hard workers, unlike the immigrants now".
Research shows that bilingualism is good, actually. And as an adult, my Finnish background has never been a problem. (Unlike for my mum, who could be denied jobs for her accent back then). However, every major immigrant group since has gone through similar issues.
🧵 When my mum came to Sweden the 1970s, prejudice against Finns was prevalent. Finns were assumed to never be able to speak proper Swedish, to be violent drunks, etc. In the 90s, when I was a kid, some of these prejudices still lived in the form of jokes. But things have gotten consistently better.
Had a lucid dream about being on the beach. Used my lucidity to try to shapeshift into wolf form. #dreamshift #therian
Another Swedish blog post: visited a queer pet play event. People noticed my skills at quadrupedal movement. :3
Illustration from an 1889 natural history book showing various detailed and colored drawings of marine and land mollusk shells, including univalve shells, slugs, bivalve shells, and lamellibranchiata. The tiger cowry shell, central among the univalve shells, is notable for its smooth, glossy surface with a spotted pattern resembling a tiger's coat. Surrounding it are other shells with varied shapes, textures, and colors, including spiraled, ridged, and scalloped forms, along with depictions of slugs and snails. Each specimen is labeled with letters and scientific names below. The image is scientific and educational, aiming to illustrate shell diversity.

i am still mentally in the place where if someone says "10 years ago" i automatically think of 2010 until i go "wait-"
"we stop listening to new music as we get older" uhm. speak for yourself??
In these days when it's normalised that lgbtq people can be into "geeky hobbies" (scifi, video games, dnd), it's almost difficult to remember what it was like 20 years ago. I felt so out of place at Pride and other lgbtq events as teen. How far we've come!
Jonagold is a boring cultivar of apple. I buy it now and then and always regret it.
Just bought my ticket to a queer party the next weekend.
Expensive ;_; But when an attractive person asks you to go, you know? I'm such a sucker for people with good-smelling leather jackets.

I know that if I see a chat/forum filled with "my mum won't let me wear my tail to school" or "my daughter (10 y.o.) is looking for therian friends!" I won't share about my deeper mental shifts, my weird instincts, the way my spirituality or sexuality is affected by being a wolf-person. Not safe.
Things that become difficult to discuss in therian online spaces dominated by minors, despite not being *harmful* for kids:
- Career choices
- how therianthropy influences lifestyle choices (kids, house?)
- Nuanced discussion about ethics and animal welfare, such as keeping pets, hunting, fur trade.
