"It's almost impossible to believe he exists.
It's as if you took everything that was bad about America, scraped it off the floor, put it in an old hot dog skin & taught it to make noises with its mouth"

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.
Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.
Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

I sincerely donβt know why people arenβt physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons
A photo of a large brown and white Newfoundland dog mix who is adorable but also clearly feels no shame.
It took four years, but our Newfoundland mix finally realized that she is tall enough to steal food off the kitchen counters. Please keep our family in your thoughts during this trying time.
I am in love with outfit that Hunter Schafer wore recently from Jean-Paul Gaultier. It reminds me of something that someone would wear to marry the Goblin King. Or Queen. π
I have recently started added garlic-infused olive oil to my ramen noodles, and it has seriously elevated it to another level. I try to add vegetables (bok choy, mushrooms), but just a splash or two of olive oil is amazing.
Folks.
I am still telling jokes on the internet like a doofus. I want to explain why I am telling jokes like a doofus when people, especially marginalized people but also everyone else, are being slowly pulled apart by the most ghastly people imaginable.
The answer is, for my mental health.

Keppra XR. She also seems more relaxed on it, but still her usual playful self.
A big goofy brown and white dog (Newfoundland/poodle mix) lying on the floor and looking up at the camera with a the dogβs big tongue flopping out. She is a good dog at the vets. Her name is Swayze.
In the good news department, my dog Swayzeβs seizures are under control. For the past year high-stress events like going to the vets caused seizures, but today she went without any issues at all.
The other day I started following @eve6.bsky.social on here, and then the radio played βInside Out.β Coincidence? Yeah, probably, but it was a nice one.
If the price of coffee goes up the guy from blues traveler will be fine because he also likes tea
In other news, my brain couldnβt think of the word for βlazy Susanβ and instead I said βrotating Sallyβ and so that is the new name for it, please update your records.
Bookish flatlay featuring the digital cover of the book Muse by Amanda Hocking. The cover has a glowing fuchsia rose on it. Alongside the cover are written words to describe some of the tropes found in the novel. These include: Forbidden Romance, Queer Rep, Vibrant Kingdoms, Royal Intrigue, Magical Performances, and Fabulous Gowns.
A play on the meme of the cartoon of the dog sitting in a burning room saying βThis is fine,β except in this comic the dog is saying βSo I have a book coming out.β This is commenting on the absurdity and necessary evil of self promotion while the world burns.
If youβre looking for ways to relax and escape this weekend, my new book MUSE is only $2.99 for an ebook. (Itβs also available in paperback). MUSE features glittering magic, vibrant kingdoms, and forbidden romance.

"The people who run this country should not lead comfortable lives while the rest of us suffer. If decorum is dead, let it be buried."

It airs weekly but when the season is over, itβs worth it get it for a month and binge Severance. Thereβs also a couple good nature documentaries, and For All Mankind is pretty good, too.
Cats are such empaths, I swear they just seem to know whenever I'm having a bad day because without missing a beat theyβre just like vomit, vomit, tail in coffee, extended screaming, channeling ghosts, channeling ghosts, further screamingβ¦
Severance is such a good tv show it makes me angry at everything else for not being Severance.
A slightly chubby seven-month old brown tabby cat laying majestically but very comfortably on a pink Pusheen comforter
The same slightly chubby brown tabby cuddled up with his human in a very cute way. Also a pink Pusheen blanket is in the picture.
The same brown tabby curled up like a croissant cuddled with a large brown and white dog (a Newfoundland dog mix) and their human on a pink Pusheen blanket.
This is my cat Quigley Ponderosa, but my nickname for him is The Perfect Little Man Who is Perfect. He loves to cuddle and sounds like Stede Bonnet inside my head. These are some of my favorite pictures Iβve taken him over the last few days. Thatβs it. I just wanted to share him.
Just posting a little reminder that all my books feature LGBT+ characters, and they always will. Love is love, people are people, life is short, and we should celebrate love and happiness wherever we find it.
Listen, my social media is going to be fluffy, interspersed with screaming into the void, because I'm focusing my energy on non-SM stuff where I'm seeing the most positive impact in helping people. SM has it's place, but the pressure to respond to EVERYTHING is exhausting. 1/2

How to spend today
The question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be. Will be extremists for hate or for love? Will we be extremists for the preservation of injustice or the extension of justice?
Today for Martin Luther King Jr Day, I am sharing my favorite quote of his, which is embedded in the promenade in San Diego.
Question for people using alt-text: how detailed should I be when describing book covers? In the past I've sometimes said "the book cover showing Title and Author" because it seems like those are the important bits of info. I glance at a cover for a second: it feels odd writing a long paragraph.
The time between a book a release and when the reviews start rolling in from readers feels like an eternity in limbo.
Smudge, looking vaguely confused at the impertinence of the human
"Cat puke? Sir, I know nothing about this 'cat puke' of which you speak, and frankly I'm offended at the suggestion that I might. Good day, sir. I said, good day!"
Pamela Anderson in the Criterion Closet. The text reads, βWe love David Lynch.β
