before the drk arc, addie trained in paladin at the rose house so she feels like she has a right to use lani's name. also she lives on spite, which is a good and normal reason to decide on a child's name. at least she didn't name her daughter after artoirel, that would for sure pass on the curse

absolutelyyy like! artoirel's whole life was tossed around like a salad in between haurche's situation, finding out his lineage was built on lies, and then immediately becoming count. and it changed him for the better! he just needs like uh. 17 more paradigm shifting events to approach being normal

luckily i think her daughter (tiramisu laniaitte) (addie wanted to steal laniaitte before steph's kids took it) (her wife decided to name the kid tiramisu independantly when signing the birth certificate because addie needs whimsy) may be immune to The Curse. she's just devious
