This was a fun romp through British folklore, even if the writing style wasnβt quite for me. Review on Pagebound, GR, etc.

I should haveππ Iβve never unsubscribed from anything so fast in my life but it would be silly to buy another copy before I even know if I like it. So Iβve just put it on my shelf without the dust cover lol

I really canβt believe this. And whatβs crazier is I went to the artistβs IG page and none of their other fanart is like this?? Iβm not keen on the style personally but like this is the worst example of their work

It actually is but itβs not really βreversibleβ in the sense that itβs just art and not really a cover

Fable for the End of the World by Ava Reid
My first and last Owlcrate monthly editionπππ can any artist out there explain to me what is happening with the blonde girlβs ass??? Looking at this is SO uncomfortable.
Also is this eco-fantasy? Title seems like a Rachel Carson ref?

The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw
I had no idea what this was about when I started listening.
The audiobook narration was godawful but the story itself was a delight. Made eyeballs sound real delicious.

The Will of the Many by James Islington
I finally got through this absolute tome. While it was definitely too long and a few plot points were rather silly, overall I quite enjoyed this read. The scene where the chef in Suus makes him the fancy meal?? Beautiful.

Graphic novels and nonfiction that Iβve read within the past year
a thread of at least the ones I physically own. I really should read more comix. this is a whole mix of genres but somehow I read more
memoir in this form than in prose

The time stamps are partly a reflection of my schedule and partly because of a plot twist after which I could not put this down, like this was a 2am ending

The Mercy Makers by Tessa Gratton. I spent about 15 hours reading this across 5 days (Iβm a very slow reader tbh)
In my GR review I comped this to The Spear Cuts Through Water and thatβs about the highest compliment I can give a book.
Add this to your TBR!!
