The art of the show - America
Trump makes House of Card less epic than his presidency.
I'm a Moron not understanding shit to international politics, Episode 16851 by Donald John Trump.
"The art of .... being a Moron" - Donald Trump Jr.
Worth a read. A good summary of the challenges associated with maintaining a language heterogenous codebase (here with the integration of Rust).
The reality is always less pretty than just the usual *rewrite everything in Rust* which is an extremely childish take.
Cppnorth ? 🙂
When my wife and I have redone entirely our kitchen. I asked the seller explicitly: "I do not want wifi connect on *any* item, give me simple buttons. I am ready to pay more for that"
The guy looked to me as if he just met an alien.

When Russia Putin's mafia is not happy about something. You know you did the right thing for your country.
Because she and her party stole 3.1M€ of public money with several schemes including non-existing jobs in EU parliament.
Having a Trump equivalent governing France in 2027 appears to be a bit more unlikely. Europe can probably thank the French Justice system on this one.
Bonus point, if you use UUIDv7: now you do not need to remember the birthday of your kids anymore: it's directly coded in the name.
What could potentially go wrong ?
Pro tips: Making a filesystem backup of your phone through USB is faster when the phone is playing "What is love - 10h - of Jim Carrey" on YouTube.

And this is not a joke. Very likely related to battery opt and cpu clock down that are limited when playing videos 😅
Agree on both.
For type_traits, it makes sense when it was done in C++11 because it was the best we had.
Nowadays, most of them just feel terribly unnatural to use.
It could be (and probably should be) just a set of constexpr functions mapping on compiler builtins.
I have some others but a bit more controversial 🔥
(3) type_traits (And all other SFINAE tricks) - Should be replaced by some proper constexpr + concepts + static_reflection
(4) std::pair - should die for tuple
(5) std::tuple - should be heavily simplified and integrated at the language level
(6) volatile - should die entirely

The question is not for me but I can't resist to answer 😁 :
(1) iostream - They should just die for the sake of the language.
(2) C compatible casts and consorts - Should be banned by default when C++26 or more is enabled. Provide an option to tolerate them.

> "EU [...] formed to screw U.S"
In fact, historically, clearly: No.
The E.U was created to avoid that if Germany raises the right arm a bit too high again, the entire planet gets Nuked.
What we did not expect was USA raising the arm first.

I wonder how anyone can consider this an acceptable way of managing humans ?
Do you still have the source code somewhere? 🙂
I would be happy to archive it on a public repo.
The doom src code is a beautiful example of how a code can resist (or not) the test of time.
I would be curious to see which one of the C or C++ version can still compile in 10, 20y from now.
God, you did it. It is both awesome and horrifying at the same time 😄
I thought to try something similar recently while reviewing some Rust. But convinced myself to wait for C++ static reflection in front of the amount of macros hack required.
You are much more brave than I am. Cool experiment.
Wien has also quite few very nice museums if you have the mood for it 🙂
"Trump [...] lives in a disinformation space"
Yes. Zelensky is right on that. On honestly, if I would be a US citizen, this would freak me out.
Because it definitively means there is (several) Russian propagandists in close proximity with Trump.
