TODAY we joined @streetvendorproj.bsky.social as the @council.nyc.gov prepares to override the ex-Mayor's vetoes of Intros 431, 408, and 1251 — the 'Street Vendor Reform Package.'

This group of bills is ESSENTIAL for street vendors to legally & safely run their small businesses.

We're so GRATEFUL to now have a @mayor.nyc.gov that has vowed to stand by street vendors.

The Street Vendor Package will allow our communities to obtain the licenses they are entitled to & operate their businesses without fear of their merchandise being confiscated!

Today we joined @streetvendorproj.bsky.social ahead of the @council.nyc.gov's vote to override former Mayor Adam's veto of the Street Vendor Reform Package.

This package of bills will allow our street vendors to legally & safely operate their businesses by providing them w/ street vending licenses.

Thousands more NYC street vendors will be able to operate legally under bill set to pass The mayor hasn’t said whether he supports the measure, but the City Council says the bill would automatically become law after 30 days if he doesn’t act.

NYC street vendors would catch a break under new City Council measure A bill passed by councilmembers would decriminalize certain violations of vending laws.

The rain has cleared up since we rallied with @streetvendorproj.bsky.social, but uplifting street vendors is as crucial as ever.

As part of a reform package for NYC's smallest businesses, the Public Advocate's #Intro408 would help street vendors access training and resources.

The NYPD is criminalizing cyclists and deliveristas. It is discriminatory, unfair, and just plain wrong. I rallied with @maketheroadny.bsky.social @workersjusticep.bsky.social @streetvendorproj.bsky.social @transalt.org to send a clear message to Adams and Tisch: this does not make anyone safer.
