I’ve been quiet for quite some time on here. I’ve been dealing with some personal things, but I am still around! Hoping to get back into posting more regularly again.

Today is Earth Day, but it should be Earth Day every day! Take time to honor our Mother Earth. Here are some spring flowers I’ve found while out and about the last few days 🌍 💐

Presented at a conference yesterday. First time speaking in front of a group since I used to teach. Proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone! I think it went well.

Hail Pele, goddess of volcanoes! While in Hawaii, I had the chance to visit Kilauea, an active volcano considered to be a sacred place of Pele. Walking the lava fields of past eruptions shows that a volcano holds power to shape the land itself. It was truly an honor to stand in her presence 🌋

This is a Black Witch Moth, a rare species of moth. I came across it randomly while here in Hawaii. They are associated with death, and, depending on the culture, either an omen of good or bad fortune. They also can be an omen of a person dying or the sign of a departed loved one visiting.
