as one of the commenters says "aren't Hen Ogledd, with their creativity and daftness and world-building, exactly what this shitty world needs right now?"
+ the album was released 2 weeks ago and it's bandcamp Friday ! henogledd.bandcamp.com/album/discom...
was just reading this review of Low-Life and the writer described this version as βone of the sky-scraping high points of 80s pop cultureβ which nails it. The whole piece on the album is great, helped me view it through a slightly different perspective than I had been

Newcastle drone rock legends Bong are back as... Bong II. But the Bong (essentially) remains the same.
Here's Dawn Terry explaining what's what:

One of the all time great internet polls was ILX trying to decide which was the best bit in Perfect Kiss 12" only to decide overwhelmingly that it was 'Frogs'.

Salix is up for pre-order today! I sat down with @thequietus.com for a potted history about how I ended up making up electronic music from a cottage in Suffolk πβ¨π«

There is a helpful Infotainment Digi-guide wrought from pixels & grammar by Noel Gardner which will appear, as if by magic in one of the social media answer squircles below containing his top ten essential acts this year (which contains The Ex of course).
I dismantled a chair so I could hit him with bits of it. I thought the windows were going to shatter at one point.
Mind-rinsing synthesist Loula Yorke is playing at this year's Acid Horse festival. Here she talks to us about youthful activism and breakcore squat parties, and why it's now time for her to finally start thinking of herself as an artist.
Grammar and pixels for those who read the next section.
All the best Tom!
The live version of Psyche! from Ha! will likely always be my favourite track by Killing Joke due to it being such a punk club floor filler in Hull in 1989.
I have a stupid amount of 10βs; itβs the format Iβm least keen on parting with for some reason. Slates by the Fall, Ha! by Killing Joke, several by Sonic Youthβ¦

As long as it's F#Phrygian, I'm all for it.
I think Bulbils would be right for a Zaireeka-style vinyl EP release where you get four EPs, each has an exactly 22 minute long track per side, unmarked, all in key. And you play four sides at the same time, never get *exactly* the same drone masterwork twice... Would take some underwriting though.
Yeah, it's the ideal format.
I mean, tbf, I did buy it!
Always. βοΈπ€
