Thanks, Don. I was too lazy to look it up. I'm wondering what kind of time lag there was between the UK and US release of "Piper." I'm too lazy to look that up, too.

I love a post of a bird on a post. Especially this one.
Small, all black songbird, sitting on a thin tree branch, Body faces left, with head turned and pointed up, so that left eye faces the camera.
Adult male Rusty Blackbird seen yesterday, looking very much like an all-black Red-winged Blackbird, but with those yellow eyes. The bubbling song is wonderful.

Definitely! Another very early one for me was "Piper at the Gates of Dawn," but I'm not remembering if that came out before or after "Electric Music for the Mind and Body."
Mostly black songbird with flecks of rusty brown and iridescence. Quite a bit of brown on the face. Eyes are yellow.
Another Rusty Blackbird shot from yesterday morning along the Grand River in Ionia County, Michigan.

Their first album was the first 'psychedelic' album I ever owned. Seemed very trippy at the time it was released.

Female or first-year male Rusty Blackbird found along the river this morning in Saranac, Ionia County, Michigan, USA. There were several, and my Merlin app ignored their songs and only seemed to hear a Northern Cardinal and Dark-eyed Junco. Not the first time an obvious song escapes Merlin.
Large raptor in a tree, body facing away from the camera, head turned in right profile to the camera. Bird has a dark brown body, white head and tail, and large yellow hooked beak.
One of 14 Bald Eagles seen this morning at a farm in Ionia County, Michigan. All but this one stayed far away from yours truly.
@rembrandtswife.bsky.social Thanks for the repost!
@ramblingratz.bsky.social Thanks for the repost!
Beautiful photo.
That's scary. Stay safe. There were tornadoes in southern Michigan Friday night, but not close to where I am.
there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for
@rembrandtswife.bsky.social Thank you for the egret repost!
Profile shot of smallish woodpecker on hanging suet feeder. The bird has a bright red cap and throat, black bib, white stripes/patches on a black face, black back and wings mottled with white and yellow buff, mostly light underparts with yellow buff wash.
Another Yellow-bellied Sapsucker photo from January.
Cable me when this happens.
Two long-necked white birds standing in a shallow pond, facing away from each other, with their reflections in the water directly below them.
Great Egret mandala
Please add more cables.
Meep-meep!
Not good.
Agreed. (Who's Manny?)
Nice shot, Rob.
That's sad and scary.
Photo of fluffed up Eurasian Dove sitting on a wooden feeder with trees in the background..

And you've had almost no snow this winter, If the WeatherNation TV reports are accurate.
And not much afraid of people.
Totally new to me.
And you captured the smoking tree and the smoking fence in one video! The only thing that's missing is a smoking jacket.π
I have never seen this... and you managed to get a video!
We need MORE!
