That’s really lovely
That’s really lovely
Me too!
That is gorgeous! And your first sweater, too!
I need to pick up stitches for the second sleeve and mentally I just haven’t felt up to it so I’ve been knitting on another project. I’d do it on the weekend but this weekend I’m doing OT. I’m exhausted. 😂🥴🥲
Nice! I still have one sleeve to go 😭
I’m thinking of doing this one!
Gnomes! Lots of gnomes!
Soooo cool😎
I want a skein coat!
Nothing but hugs to you, friend. Also I really like those lidocaine patches, if that works for you.
This looks like Seattle Reign FC’s main kit!
I need to come visit you!
I went through this with my seaglass cardigan. Why is it so hard to be random?!
It looks super pretty.
Hey, I’ve got yarn for this too!
If you go with colorwork choose something fairly basic and learn how to catch your floats first (unlike me, I had to frog). Also, although it may be frustrating, but frogging is part of knitting, so don’t be afraid of it. My first sweater was a tent at the end - should have gone down a needle size.
I’ve heard that Flax by Tincanknits and the Step by Step sweater (Florence Miller?) are good places to start, though I personally started with colorwork because I am Extra (not in a good way!) that was the Mountain Mist pattern also by Tincanknits, out of the book Strange Brew.
We all started somewhere, with square and rectangular shapes knitted simply. Even now with years of knitting under my belt, I still make mistakes that make me want to headdesk. But if you keep going wonderful adventures await you. 😎
I’ve made this for a friends baby (she’s now 5!) Very satisfying knit.
Awww that’s so sweet!
Socks are hard for me. I haven’t successfully knit one yet. We all have to start somewhere though!
Yesssss!
Oooh I want to knit that!
Is that the LOTR test knit?
#knitsky #knitting #BTintheWild #finchmodWeekenderKAL Day 25, ball 6/10 nearly there. @scoutj.bsky.social the body is done! If you had told me three weeks ago I could knit this fast I would not believed it. I have a week to finish each sleeve! 📖: Andrea Mowry 🧶: Brooklyn Tweed Shelter in Wool Socks

The Weekender by Andrea Mowry. Almost done with the front, just need some ribbing and then a bind off I’ll figure out when I get there.
Oh dang I love that colorway
Cascade and Berroco were two brands my LYS carried that were inexpensive.
