this would have been the case too because of their positions. Wouldn't it be better to have more precise descriptions for Yakuza hierarchies? Probably stick to Japanese terms like Kyoudai, Oyabun, Kobun etc. to avoid confusion? Since people tend to misinterpret a lot when is written in English.

@04tenno.bsky.social hey I wanted to comment on something about yakuza organization hierarchies. I noticed Daigo and Mine are listed as Sworn Brothers, but they are Father and Son. K3 mentions this and while not outright stated in the original Y3-

The fall off of this Trigun adaptation is gonna be lamented for the next decade just like how I still scream into a pillow over Rage of Bahamut Virgin Soul.

So from what I have seen Stargaze was rushed and replaced core staff including the writer and director of Stampede. I have no proof but no doubt this is another case of production committee pressure and meddling like what happened to One Punch Man adaptation.

One of the biggest fumbles of Dark Ties was not canonizing the RGGO story about Daigo going out with Mine, not only because it aids understanding how Mine feels about Kiryu but because I'm sure

I think DT worked based on seeing in sns a lot of people feeling sympathetic towards Mine and getting his character better after finishing it. Even tho the ideas existed in 3 seems like it was more effective to convey them through his pov

I personally felt like Mine's character came across very well and the only thing I lament is that they didn't adapt the substory when Daigo bails out on him because it could have helped the final moments of the game

Maybe they should just make their own cgi movies complementary to the games like Capcom and Square Enix have done. Dark Ties could have been a movie.

I don't understand why Yakuza has bad luck with adaptations when is one of the easiest games to turn into a movie, is already one! It heavily borrows from crime movies and Hong Kong martial arts cinema! That said I love how they leaned into the absurd with this one and I hope it gets subbed.
