Thanks to @dislaney.bsky.social & @candlestickpress.bsky.social for the supply of 'Ten Poems about Music'. A fantastic book that eased all participants into the poetry writing groove. ✍️
I’m really pleased to share that Dillon Jaxx and I are now looking after The Writing school. We can’t thank Ewan Monaghan enough for supporting the school. Dillon and I are hoping to build on what Kathryn started. Please follow the link to have a look thewritingschool.co.uk

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and thoughtful poem. Kathryn would have loved it 😀Ollie x
My poem for Kathryn Bevis is up now on the Poetry Wales site. I'm grateful to them for giving it a home in a place where Kathryn's work meant so much.
I know acrostics are old-fashioned, but I also know Kathryn would have appreciated one. I am speaking her name.

Delighted with this glowing review and accurate interview in Waterways World. Though I giggled at 'Apart from some poetry volumes, this is Jo's first book.' It's book no.6 and poetry counts too!
In Leeds this Sunday? Please join me on the famous floating bookshop, Holdfast Books at 5pm to hear from my book BOATER and share a midsummer hour on the water www.facebook.com/share/r/1Aq7...
"What can you do? You have to laugh, you have to play, be a living example. You have to find the path the Green Man found, find your real place in the world. At any point in your life, you can become green again"
from “The Wildest Dream: an imagined history of the Green Man”, David Gee.
This arrived today, so it’s made it as far south as Winchester! I’m really looking forward to ‘Boater’ by @jobellwriter.sky.social

Tonight's "Nothing More Beautiful" online poetry workshop was a thing of wonder. Love and tears and fruit and loads of money raised for the Good Law Project's fight for trans rights.
The Kathryn Bevis Memorial Poetry Competition (1) 11 judges and 370 wonderful poems and many difficult decisions later we have chosen our winners and highly commended poems. First though, we would like to thank everyone who submitted and supported this project to remember our friend and poet Kathryn Bevis. We were delighted with the response. We would also like to thank The Writing School Online and The Alchemy Spoon for their support. Our four winners will be published in the next edition of The Alchemy Spoon and there will be an online event with readings from the winners. We are also pleased to have been able to donate £300 each to Jane Scarth House and Victoria's promise, two charities that supported Kathryn.
Here are our highly commended poets in no particular order
And our fantastic winners 🎉🎉😎
I'm giddy and overjoyed to have won 1st prize in the Kathryn Bevis Memorial Prize. It was a privilege to be included on a shortlist packed with incredible writers, and I hope I get to read all of those poems at some point. Sincere thanks to the judges, I'm feeling very grateful.
