Iβll watch anything with a girl on a bike
Truly.
Another impact it has is through bike brigade - we pick up leftover produce from the Saturday market and deliver to community fridges. Fridges that are usually empty on arrival, and empty again by the next day.
This is awful π
Iβm sorry - I missed that you had experienced such a loss. Losing our furry family members is so hard π
Ugh. Iβve seen her in the Halifax Examiner comments, criticizing them for being critical of him. I suspect thereβs a deeper connection there.
He keeps telling on himself by doing ridiculous things like referring to residents as βshareholdersβ and dismissing βtwo sheets of iceβ and a community space as things that donβt have value.
The bridge!!
And South Park must be broken in one direction. Should be closer to Vernon numbers.
I canβt say for sure!
There are some really bad ones out there, even on newer infrastructure (e.g., Almon at Gladstone). I find this happening on MUPs especially egregious because as bad as these are on a bike, theyβre way worse with a wheelchair.
This is the hopeful take on this whole diverter debacle
Thank you! Iβm so glad it resonated.
Hell yes

The premier of Nova Scotiaβs ENTIRE plan is based on oil and gas extraction. He just said it on air. That is his only plan. Our biggest industry is tourism and he just cut $$ to tourism, arts & conservation (all reasons why people come here).
The less Nova Scotians know about their past & feel connected to place, the easier it is for a government to redefine conservation areas & penalize people for not aligning use of land with exploitation.
History is dangerous, writers in schools are dangerous, artistic critique of power is dangerous.
Always appreciate your insightful analysis, sujo!
Houston is smart. Carve up our communities and pit them against each other for funding.
Cuts to arts and culture are overwhelmingly also cuts to the disability community, just not via "approved channels."
As a disabled artist, I'll just keep barely paying rent on my fixed-term lease, I guess.
Get his ass
We desperately need Halifax parks to be investing in cargo bikes rather than driving pick up trucks on the pathways. Iβm always shocked when I encounter one on the weekend.
I suspect there are more areas we could make this change (e.g., water delivery to encampments).

We also moved them yesterday (around 10:15am).
Itβs one of those days that feels like an absolute gift to be able to get around by bike!
I canβt believe you subjected yourself to that, but your piece was an enjoyable read!
Negative levels of it, if youβre giving *other people* self-help books.
Andy did what?! wtf
I 100% believe that
#BikeHfx problems: my bike developed a new squeak after I went over the Vaughan Ave curb cut yesterday.
