The funniest possible outcome on this oil crisis and energy strain worldwide is the enforcement of the 4-day week to save up on energy consumption.

I'll never put out fundraising appeals more than once a year, but it's that time of year. My We The People students are facing a $2,000/family bill to go to DC for a competition where nuance, discussion, analysis are prized above all. Help these future leaders out: app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/...
Last repost of this for the year - only two days where I'm so crass and unprofessional asking for money. But seriously, We The People is the best form of civic+constitutional education imaginable, teaching reason, research and cooperation not mere debate. Kids shouldn't have to pay so much for it.
When I joined as the head engineer of the Torment Nexus project, it was to work on fascinating technical problems and make the world a better place along the way. I am appalled to discover that the Torment Nexus would be used this way and, now that my options have vested, will be leaving the project

In a scene from the Enterprise episode "Shuttlepod One," we see Trip Tucker sitting inside the titular spacecraft wearing his heavy uniform jacket and black NX-01 cap. There's some stubble visible on his face. To the right is Gonzo from the Muppets also bundled up. He's wearing a coat, hat, scarf, large woolen mittens, and a woolen sock-like cover on his nose.

Oh for real? I was about to get in the car but then I heard the siren and got worried
why did the air raid siren go off?!

"[Cook County State's Attorney] OβNeill Burke rebuked the call for a special prosecutor...

Excellent! This and the Story of Ferdinand were my son's favorites.
Today in March Madness, you have a choice between ASTEROID CITY and AD ASTRA...
It's WES ANDERSON (1) vs JAMES GRAY (8).

Really seems like it's been in just the last week or so that he realized he has to win the Dem primaries *before* he can run in the general election.
Sorry to post about this guy but I think this is it, the apotheosis of Consultant Brain.
Pretending this is a prequel to Crocodile Dundee that tells the origins of Walter and the other guys in that saloon.
I can't compete with this.
among players these are known as "metal mouthpieces." they are widely available, easy to hide or explain, and entirely lethal.
Jared is correct. Read Theory
"Whatever states are today, they are not what they once wereβin part because, as Dasgupta chronicles, the state now faces serious competition for center stage in the organization of human society."

always funny to me when the captions are the wrong words but basically mean the same thing, like the caption guy saw the movie and thought "I could do a better script!"
