My goal for this winter break is to get back the regular desire to read, starting earlier this week, I began this goal by giving myself a daily regime of reading 10 essays in Adorno’s Minima Moralia & ~70-90 pages in Stephen King’s It

Apparently I may need to rewrite and expand my writing from last year about how cars and car-infrastructure makes us more reactionary because changes in traffic in a horribly urban designed place is being used to justify mass deportations
Wanted to put together a serious response to this Continental/Analytic divide discourse, and since I didn’t want to refute these blogposts point by point, I did wanted to help explain what Continental philosophy actually does and defend it
Got to use a bit of my politics/law background from my undergrad to help with my philosophy class’ discussion on the reality of race & whiteness
New Blog Post discussing what pro-social and anti-social societies are and why trusting pro-social societies are those that provide social safety nets to protect people and give them the chance to participate in society, and why right wing capitalism is anti-social
For all the time the right spends talking about trust and assimilation into society, I see them promote nothing but anti-social policies meant to push already marginalized people further into worse circumstances
One thing I really enjoy about these texts is the cross over between a primary and secondary source on the events. These histories were writing about these histories to become a secondary source on them but have become a primary historical record for certain events they discussed.
Recently been adding to my bookshelf some texts by old historians (chroniclers?) writing about their own time or events they lived through
I will add that Twitter has been doing it to varying degrees since Musk gained control of the platform, but this last week I’ve seen substantially more random far right accounts than the people I follow
Twitter seems to be actively pushing more right wing content throughout (at least) my For You page lately so I may need to begin the true transition over here
