And yet the Queen and Fergie look almost as bad. Delightful read.

I remember biking to ballet past the long gas lines. (If that sounds pastoral, the ride included a long stretch on the side of a highway. The 70s!)
No worries, I'm sure the economy will be fixed by next Monday.
I have officially heard Sweet Caroline too many times.
(around photos of Jeff Bezos and an Amazon employee) Jeff Bezos made $90 billion in profit... because of their hard work. Amazon's profits went UP 45%, but its taxes went DOWN 87%. Thanks to Trump's "Big Ugly Bill," Amazon paid just $1.2 billion in taxes (down from $9 billion last year). Hardworking Americans are struggling, while Republicans hand massive tax breaks to the Epstein class.
A long row of refridgerated grocery shelves with a tall two tone wall above. It seens to have a quote up there by... Virginia Woolf?
Shelves and shelves of bologna.
The quote painted high above the bologna reads: "One can not think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well' - Virginia Woolf"

I feel like itβs Not Enough? Not satirical enough, primarily, and maybe also not serious enough? Itβs so deeply invested in its historic imagery and authentic reproduction, which is great, but I canβt stick with the story. In the doc I watched, they were trying to write the script daily. Mm hmm.
Turns out I still hate Barry Lyndon! I canβt even get through it.
Watched Blue Moon last night and I can see Ethan Hawke getting the best actor Oscar for that performance, the virtuostic verbosity in the first hour or so, particularly. So much more than Iβd expected.
Iβm an old media dork; this is why I still have a DVD player.
I just borrowed 2 DVDs from the library: Barry Lyndon, which Iβve never liked but want to try again, and All that Jazz - Iβd failed to find it streaming (might be there now).
It doesnβt matter whether the rate of global warming is increasing. Itβll never cease to amaze me that people donβt care that itβs happening at all. It should be the most alarming thing ever.
One nice thing about the Gilded Age was how many of those dudes believed they were going to hell. And were scared.

A gas station near me still has the signs you have to change manually and they've just have taken them down. Feels like the 70s.
If only theirs existed.
I tried to read the newly released documents and it was so much I had to stop. So, content warning.
I wish I was angry but instead Iβm just so sad. So many lives shattered by these predatory monsters.
I think this is great criticism. I don't know much about art, but I understand Aruna D'Souza's descriptions, ideas, context and conclusions. And it's a lovely read. hyperallergic.com/the-polycris...
A new audiobook of Patrick Stewart reading Shakespeareβs sonnets is coming next month. How delightful!
But hell if Iβll link to the Audible page, so just consider this a heads-up and itβs coming soon.
I loved his last book, I canβt wait to read this one.
iI's so great that you're doing this. Long live the new Rumpus.

I bet a hotel pharmacist had some good stories.

We actually did this in LA ages ago. I think we called it NAWP (Not AWP).
