Thank you to our neighbors for helping us gather hundreds of petitions this afternoon to get me and other working-class champions @sengonzalezny.bsky.social and @aoc.bsky.social on the ballot!
This morning, I joined my colleagues in government at City Hall to demand that @governor.ny.gov listen to New Yorkers and TAX THE RICH.
I was excited to announce my *very first bill,* introduced alongside @sengonzalezny.bsky.social, to allow NYC to raise taxes on wealthy corporations!
This is really bad news for Goldman, Espaillat, Thanedar, and maybe even the likes of Cohen and Bell, who are all standing by genocide and apartheid until the bitter end. If they were smart, they'd renounce AIPAC and endorse an arms embargo immediately.
Extremely strong performance by Nida Allam tonight. Foushee is an AIPAC incumbent who bolted left in the last few years, even signing onto Block the Bombsβand she's STILL within less than a point of losing her primary.
Any incumbents still riding with Israel should be terrified.
In the North Carolina General Assembly, Carla Cunningham, Nasif Majeed, and possibly Shelly Willingham, all conservative Democrats who have voted to overturn Josh Stein's vetoes, are on track to lose their primaries. Look at God.
Our office is hiring for two positions: Constituent Services Manager and Community Affairs Coordinator!
Please email us your resume or any questions you have about the roles.
Itβs my last week working at For The Many after 4 years π₯² Traveling the Hudson Valley to pass laws and win elections for a better NY has been an honor. Iβll always be a member, get involved: forthemany.org
Next, Iβm thrilled to join Team @dianaforqueens.com in the Assembly!
Weβre kicking off petitioning this Saturday! Join us, @tiffanycaban.bsky.social, and Queens Democrats as we launch our petitioning drive.

Thousands of NYers traveled to Albany today to demand that @governor.ny.gov & the state legislature TAX THE RICH!
I was proud to join the @socialists.nyc @ourtimefornyc.bsky.social march to the Capitol & greet the incredible organizers, advocates & working parents fighting for our future. πΉ

It's always a pleasure to speak with the powerful advocates and organizers who fight every day for the rights of New Yorkers.
This year, we must pass Dignity Not Detention to end ICE contracts with jails and prisons, and pass Fair Pay for Home Care to pay our workers fairly!
To transgender youth across Astoria and Long Island City, you deserve access to healthcare and to live a life of dignity, joy, and freedom.
I am ready to fight alongside you. Solidarity forever. π³οΈββ§οΈ
A week after Trump removed the Pride flag from Stonewall,
NYU Langone capitulated to fascists and shattered their gender-affirming care program.
New Yorkers re-raised the Pride flag at Stonewall, and we're going to fight like hell so trans youth get their healthcare back, too.

Last week, we held our very first meeting in our new Albany office, with a group of @naswny.bsky.social social work students advocating for their profession.
At a time when care work is devalued at the federal level, NY has a responsibility to support students pursuing professions in care!
Lakshya Jain and the Argument fled this website because they couldn't take the criticism and now he's advocating for Dems to abandon trans issues with polling about 'gender surgery for minors' a thing that is not real
Leqaa Kordia is the last Columbia protester still being held prisoner by ICEβall because she dared to speak out against genocide and in support of Palestine.
We must demand her freedom and safety, and condemn this affront to freedom of speech.

In 2015, I interned with @maketheroadny.bsky.social as part of their Worker Rights Program. Today, I was proud to stand with them as an Assemblymember to demand the passage of New York for All to end NY's collaboration with ICE.
In this moment of crisis, we must be BOLD. Β‘SΓ se puede!
Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."
Socialists come in all sizes π³
On Tuesday night, we won our election by 57 points. On Wednesday morning, I traveled to the New York State Capitol to be sworn into office and seated as the Assemblymember for the 36th District.
I'll be back in Albany tomorrow to continue fighting for the people of Astoria and Long Island City.
Live now with Hasan Piker and @claireforny.bsky.social!
"What we do is we organize. DSA members and DSA electeds know that the power is on the streets with constituents who are well-organized, knocking doors if necessary to get the Governor to tax the rich.β
Thank you, Bobby Cuza and @spectrumnewsny1.bsky.social's Inside City Hall, for having me on!
The first 48 hours with our newest Socialist in Office
@dianaforqueens.com and some friends.
One day after being sworn in and casting my first votes in Albany, and two days after winning our election, I came back to Astoria and went straight to a town hall with @aoc.bsky.social.
Itβs a privilege to get to serve our community at this pivotal moment. And we are not slowing down!

7 months ago, I called my comrade @dianaforqueens.com and asked her to run for office.
11 weeks ago, we launched our campaign to maintain the People's Republic of Astoria.
Yesterday, we won by 57 points.
Today, Diana became Assemblymember Diana Moreno.
What will we do tomorrow?
ICE is murdering people in the streets and kidnapping our children, including right here in Astoria. There is no time to waste.
With my election yesterday, we have a mandate to pass New York for All and continue organizing to abolish ICEβand we will do it together.
Right after I took office today, I co-sponsored my first bill, a centerpiece of our campaign & close to my heart: the New York for All Act.
Assemblymember Karines Reyes has long championed this critical legislation. We must prohibit state & local cooperation with Trump's deportation machine.
