We cannot delay any longer. Climate impacts are accelerating faster than political responses, and no one is spared. The past three years have been the hottest on record, and projections show that the critical 1.5 °C threshold has already been exceeded.
We can no longer afford to stall action💚
The ICJ has provided clear guidance; the next step is for governments to work together to translate those words into concrete measures. We call on states to engage in good‑faith cooperation with Vanuatu + Core Group to craft & adopt the strongest possible resolution for the planet and for humanity.
Six months on, the global community has an opportunity to stand together in translating the #ICJAO into concrete action. Vanuatu is leading the fight - the onus is on the global community to follow.
None of this is accidental or inevitable, but the numerous warning signs are telling us that the time to act is now.

We know that men's violence against women and girls can push them further into poverty, and heighten their experience of inequality. As we mark the end of #16DaysOfActivism we continue to call out the systems of patriarchy that disproportionately affect women and girls in all their diversity.
The rates of violence against women and girls are horrific. For these #16DaysOfActivism, we fight against patriarchy and systems of oppression that enable and normalise this violence.
As Oxfam, we participate in COP because we are seeing a clear link between rising inequality and climate change. As the super rich continue to profit from polluting our land and waters, we are the ones who ultimately pay the price. That isn't just unequal - it is unjust.
At Oxfam, we're focused on the injustice of poverty and inequality. And our work in the region has shown us one thing - rising inequality is being fuelled by the climate crisis. Our colleague Wini who is at #COP30 in Brazil shares why this is a priority for us, & what we're doing about it 💚

We must be able to make decisions about our own bodies & lives, without pressure or discrimination. At Oxfam, we uphold these universal human rights. That includes the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual people & those with other gender or sexuality identities.
We all have the right to be safe, free from violence, fear & coercion. Queer & feminist movements have won some hard-fought progress, but now violence and threats against LGBTQIA+ people are rising.
None of us is safe till all of us are safe. #LGBTQIA+rights are human rights.
