It’s so interesting that an outlet that encourages its writers to speak truth to power is flourishing in a media industry where everything else seems to be in decline. I want that to be a lesson to people. Kowtowing to power—if your job is not that, nobody fucking wants that. It does nothing for you to pull a punch at this moment.
