Likewise. I kind of like to do things outside in the morning when it is not hot.
They truly are good. A good sausage, cheese, jalapeño koloche is terrific.
I have passed that many times, but have not yet visited. I will give it a try.
I really miss the Donut Taco Palace on North Lamar. I thought those were the best. Still searching for a good replacement in the vicinity.
I think he owns a plumbing business
Because gerrymandering affects state house and state senate districts. Draw those districts to favor GOP candidates, they get elected. In turn, those candidates vote for repressive election laws
Paternal grandfather was a coal miner.
Maternal grandfather was a blacksmith.
Never got to know my paternal grandfather. He died from black lung in his 50s.
I’ve heard of rabbit ear antennas, but cat tail antennas are new to me.
It is about a group of MI-6 agents who have messed up and are transferred to the agency’s backwaters at Slough House, where they are assigned tasks intended to get them to resign. Gary Oldham portrays the person in charge, an experienced, disgraced agent. I believe there’s 5 seasons.
Best wishes to all
I’m hoping never, but if it happens, I’m trying to figure out where and how they’d be deployed.
Slow Horses if you have access. Also, Justified is pretty darn good. First few seasons of The Crown are okay (not sure about the historical accuracy,). Andor is good, but pretty dark.
I am sorry.
Long history of this in Qatif. It was where the uprising occurred back in 1979, driven by religious discrimination and gross economic injustice. As you point out, the amount of petroleum infrastructure and number of personnel in the Eastern Province is huge

Household chores. Folding and putting away laundry, feeding the cat, cleaning the litter box. Dishes. Shopping list for the supermarket.

Gasoline Alley comic strips showing Skeezix being tricked into looking for mythical type lice and then having water splashed on his face.
Image from the movie Park Row, showing a boy with ink on his face with laughing, friendly typesetters all around, after showing him type lice.
Just launched on Kickstarter! “Flong Time, No See,” my collection of essays and reported work on printing history and people’s labor. Not academic—it’s a lot of fun, as you learn about a wildcat typesetter strike, “bogus” copy, type lice,” and much more! www.kickstarter.com/projects/gle...
What is that whirring noise? Oh, it’s Edward R. Murrow spinning in his grave.
I’d like to remind folks that the Texas Railroad Commission is the state agency that regulates the oil and gas industry, gas utilities, pipeline safety, and surface coal and uranium mining. Despite its name, it doesn’t regulate railroads. It’s a pretty important state agency down here.
Good to hear that the little guys are over here. I’ve just not seen any since I moved from Houston. Aren’t the blue ones amazing?
Here’s the Wikipedia entry
“The blue anole … a species of lizard in the family Dactyloidae….The blue anole specifically occupies higher perches. A small species which is "near threatened" and found only on the island of Gorgona, in the Colombian Pacific.”
I miss the anoles. Don’t seem to get them over here in Austin. Have you ever seen photos of blue anoles? I guess there’s some sort of mutation. Pretty sure it’s a real thing.

Classic Calvin & Hobbes cartoon wit realistic dinosaurs, including a Tyrannosaurus in a clearly recognizable F-14 Tomcat
And, of course, a T-Rex in a F-14.
Calvin & Hobbes cartoon illustrating Watterson’s attention to detail. The airliner plunging to earth is a Lockheed L-1011. The freight locomotives look like EMD hood units. The description of the fault is accurate
Here is the cartoon I was referring to yesterday. It looks like the airliner is actually a Lockheed L-1011, not a Douglas DC-10. The tail engine ductwork is a distinctive feature
