Quite the hospital the hobby.

Today I edited 5 chapters of my book. It’s the most time I have spent writing in probably 25 years. 6 hours of bliss. I am in love with this book.
While I'm working on this book, I am also in the midst of drafting up a different 'writing' oriented project. I hope to debut it in March. It will be available online. It will be fun.
I edited 3 chapters today. The books is really starting to move quickly now.
I have finished ‘Sapiens’. I think it is a profound book, and worth a read. I felt it changed how I now see the concept of narratives have shapes our own understanding of the world.
How much longer are we as Americans going to tolerate the blatant corruption in Washington? Do we really need to wait until a November election to toss out an executive branch filled with implicated child predators? #Epsteinfiles
I understand that TRUMP's base blindly believes everything he says, but how dumb does he think the rest of us are? Today he forecasted ANOTHER WAR. This time Iran.
How nervous did that arrest of Prince Phillip scare him and all the other cabinet members of his now implicated in the #Epsteinfiles?
Careful when experimenting with Stationary. It escalates to journaling. Then you start reading more. Slippery slope.
Why does the Conservative political Party in America continue to look the other way on gun violence?
Here is my below the surface read.
As the shift more towards fascism, fear will be a tool for control. The more fear they instill, the easier it is to control people and divide them.
How did it go?
I am glad to see your optimism. I don’t carry the same outlook, but a part of me wants to hope.
I think this video is really poignant to the moment.
“Your suffering is your bridge…”
Through challenge, despair or sorrow, we are called not to isolate in our pain, but to reach out and connect.

That's writing at a level I can't even comprehend.
And when I say 'makes you think', I don't mean the writing conveys a bold statement or meaning (it does), but the words force me to slow down and pick them apart to try to understand why the author chose these particular words.
I think the best thing I've read this year was 20 Poems by Pablo Neruda. I can't even explain why it's the best. As a reader, I had to stop and re-read so much of it just to try and savor it.
It's writing that makes you think. I feel this way when I read Shakespeare or Thoreau.
Hello! I am going to launch my #substack in February 2026. Feel free to watch this space for the specific launch.
I will start by posting a serial Urban Fantasy story set in a world I have created.
If you’re into that kind of thing, watch this space.
Ah, I figured out the con.
It’s a good one.
The magic of Tech is dead. Let’s get back to understanding what it means to be human again.
I think it’s about effort and intention. Because thinking and doing are functions of the human experience. When these are excised out by an app, we lose our connection to ourselves.
Take phone calls, why was using a landline seen as a key activity of my youth? Something I enjoyed doing? Why do I refuse to even use the phone app on my iPhone?
Take music, why did putting a vinyl album on my turn table make the music better than using Spotify?
Intention and effort.
AI forced me to examine all of it. All this shit I use all the time, and I realized. While some or it made things easier, non of it made anything better.
For me AI was the breaking point. Here was tech being introduced whose apparent net result was the complete destruction of the middle class professional.
I used to be a tech acolyte. Latest laptop? I am in! New smart phone? Gimme more! I was consistently impressed by developers and engineers. So, what happened?
Minor observation about the new #ios visual update. I am underwhelmed, but not by the quality of the work.
Big Tech is no longer impressive in general. For me this was a shift.
Golly, retirement sounds like a great idea right now, not 20 years from now.
I have logged off all #meta products except WhatsApp. Is there an alternative that isn’t a cess pool of right wing dipshittery?
Asking for everyone.
It is Xmas Eve.
I have finished wrapping all my presents and I don't have to wrap any tonight. Which means, I'll maybe get 8 hours of sleep tonight before the kids charge into the room to wake me up. This would be the first time in 17 years, I've had 8 hours of sleep on Xmas eve.
A Xmas Miracle.
On the EVE of Christmas Eve, I hope all of you are finding some time to relax and enjoy the end of a very challenging year. May your quiet time be filled with cheer and hope.
We can have a better 2026. We can make the world better. We can work together to make that happen.
I still have hope.
It's been a minute.
I'm working on some stuff outside the internet.
Preparing for launch in 2025.
It's a lot of ambition, and a lot of passion.
Announcement soon.
