I had the War of the Worlds one. That book and the Wishbone episode of The Time Machine are the reasons I read the original books once I was older. Though, I will admit that when I read The Time Machine in 7th grade I did find it to be a slog. I enjoyed my re-read of it in college much more.

I won 3rd place in a fanart contest that Tokyopop held to promote a web comic that they were publishing as a graphic novel. My prize was 5 volumes of manga of my choice plus a signed copy of the book they were promoting.

A lot of backpacks these days (especially ones labeled as "travel backpacks") also have special straps for slotting the handle of a suitcase through them, so you can just roll it all together without having to wear the backpack.
Spending 5 minutes just adjusting a single anchor point to try and get the curve just right, because the tiniest bit in the wrong direction makes the whole thing look bad 🙃

Look at these incredibly cool gifts my brother sent for my birthday. I don't know if it was intentional on his part, but that trilobite on the one magnet is an Arctinurus, which is found in a shale deposit that's named after our hometown & many of the specimens come from a quarry I've been to.
For one I haven’t had since 2008 and likely will never have again: the meatball “subs” from my high school cafeteria. They were just the cheapest meatballs in a very thin sauce on a hotdog bun, but I loved those. Runners up being the cafeteria Mexican pizza and the stuffed crust pizza.
I’m actually a fan of the cheap as hell Banquet turkey pot pies. It seems like they actually use dark meat instead of white meat like less cheap brands and frankly I prefer the dark meat.
One guy I went to high school with hit the perfect intersection of figure skaters and theater nerds. Right after he graduated HS, he joined the cast of High School Musical On Ice.

Went and saw the tour of Wicked last night. I couldn't not do themed nails, especially since one of the polishes is actually named Emerald City. Also, it's super hard to see, but on my thumb there is a nailart sticker of a witch riding a broom.

I’m watching Darkwing Duck right now and I can 100% tell from the animation in this particular was animated by one of the Japanese studios that also animated certain episodes of Tiny Toons. There’s something distinctly bouncy to that studio’s work and the way they do facial expressions.

Gave myself some wintery nails inspired by the Lorcana Winterspell expansion. And happened to pull a card that matches them quite nicely.

I think these might actually be the cookies I have a very distinct memory of my grammy having a box of with her when we were picking someone up the thr train station. As far as I can remember that's the only time I ever had these.
And it would have actually been within a FiM episode and performed by Cheese Sandwich (the pony voiced by Weird Al).
