Checking Shinano's booth page I actually don't see anything preventing use like this on the license. Normally they'd specify so I can only assume this is intentionally allowed. I think I've seen Kikyo in games before as well so maybe this creator is okay with reuse.

It took me years to get into it because I was afraid I'd like it. One day a friend gifted it to me and I opened it up and I was right. The game is like crack.

It's always been crazy to me that every Pokemon spinoff is insanely polished but all the mainline games feel like two steps forward and 3 steps back but the steps are chosen at random so sometimes you make progress and get BW1+2 and then erase a decade of features for no reason on the next game.
