Honestly Dragon Maid was a banger of a movie. Really enjoyed that

A small price to pay for no NSO boarder
Saw I Am What I Am (letterboxd.com/film/i-am-wh...) tonight. Good film!
Never been to Marugame, I tend to stick to my favourites from my Japan trips
Heading home tomorrow then back in London next month for work away day
Aiming to get another CocoIchi for dinner.
This morning is kinda awkward as the Liz line is off so I have to tube hop to the DLR
Awake for PokΓ©mon finals day
Well think Iβm about done here for day 1. Done everything I wanted and Iβm starting to get hungry and tired. Drop my stuff off at the hotel then try to find food I think
Stressful PokΓ©mon Center shopping but out the way. Picked up 3 ETBs and some exclusive merch
Donβt think Iβm going to make it in time for opening ceremony this year but itβs PokΓ©mon Center morning so mostly just buying stuff anyways
Didnβt sleep too well last night as the room next door decided to take a shower at 1am after checking in and banging and clattering at half past midnight
Anyway, Marty Supreme was a wild rollercoaster
Why canβt it stop raining for no more than 10 minutes???
Doing a cinema visit this evening and seeing Marty Supreme
Itβs CocoIchi time!
Checked in but got absolutely drenched walking up to the hotel from the station
Newcastle Station has got a bit leaky with all the rain
Made the train and on my way!
On my way to London today for PokΓ©mon EUIC this weekend
Completed all the main missions in Pokemon Z-A. Going to pause it there and come back to the DLC at a later date. Next up, start Prime 4 again and give it another go (and not miss any scans this time)
Happy birthday!
- Do more photography, get out with my camera more
- Keep up with fitness focus, doing more exercise is good but I need to control snacking better, particularly in the office
Need to try and schedule all this out so I'm carving out time where I can do things
Goals for the year and stuff:
- Less procrastination on non-work stuff
- Spend less time idling online and just do things, be less indecisive
- Be more creative, write more, do videogame content again, experiment with new things
- Visit somewhere new
- Improve Japanese and work on it a bit more
Happy 2026 everyone!
So I'd say overall highlights for this year: Japan trip, music shenanigans, and more time with family and friends.
Then I guess end of the year I've been feeling kinda gloomy (came back from Edinburgh with a cold, constant bad weather in Nov/Dec, and work stress). Been feeling better with some time off work so I can get some time to myself. Finished Tears of the Kingdom and been watching a bunch of anime movies.
I feel like I want to scale back SLA trips in the future (Edinburgh is so expensive these days, and the programming can be hit and miss) but it all depends on line-up.
