Oof. I keep forgetting this app. Sorry.

Rereading Two Towers and realizing the Ents are a lot like our legislative branchβ¦. βBranchβ huh-huh.

Itβs been seven days since Iβve posted on Bluesky. What do I even say? Sorry. π
Oh, hey, my book was released yesterday and I forgot to announce it on Bluesky! Better late than never! www.amazon.com/First-Born-A... Amazon.com: First Born: 9781964655901: Stueve, Ae: Books
I have not been active enough on Bluesky.
Iβm just gonna say it. It might be quieter over here on this all. But you know what? Itβs also nicer.
I'm a yearbook adviser. It is a uniquely stressful job. This piece on the 208 Weeks Stubstack is some of the best writing on this particular job I've ever read. Check it out. #yearbook open.substack.com/pub/208weeks...
Oh man, here it is! Episode one! open.spotify.com/show/6EW46dX...
Dropping the trailer for EPISODE 1 of ISSUES! open.substack.com/pub/aestueve...
And finally, here it is on Apple Podcasts: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/i...
Awhile ago I asked Threads and Bluesky (though, full disclosure, I got no traction on Bluesky) what their favorite single issue of any comic book was. The responses were overwhelming and fun. Now it's a podcast. open.spotify.com/episode/6sh5...
It really is out of pocket for that movie too. I rewatched it a couple years ago and was like, "Did I just visit hell at the end of a corny, fun sci-fi movie?"
The final βinside the black holeβ stuff is pure nightmare fuel.
Today I write about Daredevil: Born Again.

Is the sky really blue here?
Iβve been reading them since I was a child, a long, long time ago. My eyes are open to it. Those who canβt see this probably wonβt like my new book, available for preorder now.
Comic books are political. Many of them are perpetually exploring concepts of disenfranchisement, speaking truth to power, shining lights on the downtrodden, and fighting would be overlords. The evidence for this is literally all over the pages.
Title: Modern Folk horrors of the British Isles Five images of various characters: A coven of murderous witches... Who play loud youtube videos on public transport. An ancient malevolent demon... With a three-hour podcast interviewing entrepreneurs. A flock of bloodthirsty ravens... Who think absolutely everything is "Woke". A primordial shambling beast... Wearing a "Make albion great again" baseball cap. A mob of satanic villagers... Who give bad reviews to books they haven't read.
my HORRIFYING cartoon for this weekβs @theguardian.com books
Youβre not crying. Iβm crying.
To be fair, heroine is really bad for you, so the fact that he survived that long on it proves that maybe heβs just built dif (as the kids say). πππ
My new book, releasing June 18, has no AI art, Studio Ghibli or otherwise inspired (not even the cover). IDK if thereβs anyone who cares but I bet Hayao Miyazaki would appreciate that.
Thank you, man!
